Congressman Shri Thanedar believes that robust infrastructure and effective security are the backbones of a thriving society. That's why he introduced the United Against TCOs Act. This legislation aims to neutralize Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) by establishing a joint task force, including Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Coast Guard. The bill also supports rapid information sharing concerning migration surges, smuggling, and trafficking.

In addition, Congressman Thanedar cosponsors the Fund the TSA Act to enhance aviation security. The bill ensures that revenues collected from aviation security fees are used directly to finance the costs of security screening.

He also supports the Water Affordability, Transparency, Equity, and Reliability Act of 2023. This legislation establishes a trust fund to provide adequate funding for water and sewer infrastructure, a critical issue, especially in communities in Detroit.
