CONGRESSMAN SHRI THANEDAR STATEMENT ON CELL PHONE TOWER BEING PLACED AT WASHINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN WYANDOTTE, MICHIGAN
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Shri Thanedar (MI-13) released the following statement regarding the T-Mobile 5G Tower located on top of Washington Elementary School in Wyandotte, MI:
“Representing Wyandotte in Congress my office was recently informed about a cell phone tower for T-Mobile that has been placed directly adjacent to the playground at Washington Elementary School. Nowhere should a cell phone tower be placed where 452 children learn and play each day during their recess. Also, I understand that the generator that runs the cell tower is on the playground and has signs that say ‘Danger’ and ‘Flammable’. This is unacceptable.
“In the coming days I will be reaching out to city officials to discuss this matter. Being a father and grandfather myself I understand the concerns of the worried parents at Washington Elementary School. I will work diligently to ensure that this situation comes to a safe and healthy conclusion.”
