As the first openly LGBTQ Attorney General of Michigan, she has blazed a trail of inclusivity and equality, standing as a beacon of hope for marginalized communities across the state.
“From her pivotal role as a lawyer in the landmark case DeBoer v. Snyder, which successfully overturned Michigan's ban on same-sex marriage, to her ongoing efforts in championing LGBTQ+ equality, Dana Nessel has been a stalwart defender of civil liberties and justice.
“Moreover, the Attorney General’s unwavering commitment to reproductive rights has been a cornerstone of her tenure, ensuring that Michiganders have access to essential healthcare services and the right to make their own choices about their bodies. Her work in this arena has been instrumental in protecting reproductive health options, and I am honored to host her as my guest on behalf of the people of the 13th District.”
